There are various Greek accounts of the mythological creature, the Scylla. Some say she was a beautiful naiad who was cursed for her beauty - turned into a monstrous creature with tentacles and dog heads on her body. This is my interpretation of Scylla - more a seductive sea nymph that lures men and eventually consumes her prey.
