Maleficent IV by keruuu
Maleficent IV
"Now, shall you deal with ME, O Prince - and all the powers of HELL!"

Genderbend Maleficent cosplay, props, and makeup by Kelton.

Fire stock from http://sidestreet-stock.deviantart.com/

Based on the design by Sakimi chan. I love Maleficent's character in the original Disney animated film Sleeping Beauty so I took a lot of design elements from that. However I also love the sculpt of the horns that Rick Baker did for Angelina in the 2014 film (which I am not a fan of sadly).

The horns were sculpted and cast in slip latex as was the front of the collar (the back is worbla) and the gem is resin. The wings were constructed from PVC pipes and worbla and the skin of the wings were created with sheets of liquid latex.

I am really happy I finally got to shoot this costume! It was such a labor of love and although it's probably my most uncomfortable costume yet, I really love all the details I put into it! It also provided lots of challenges - I learned how to work with worbla, make articulated wings and I got to sculpt horns and ears!!

The Curse
"The princess shall indeed grow in grace and beauty, beloved by all who know her. But… before the sun sets on her sixteenth birthday, she shall prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel...and DIE!"

Maleficent II
We tried to recreate the artwork by :iconsakimichan: Unfortunately it was pretty difficult since the collar gives me very little movement in the neck area but we tried!

Wow! I have been so inactive on DA! Haha!

I've been so busy with makeup school but I'm happy to say I graduated! I was also super busy working on a makeup for Comic Con with Cinema Makeup School. We created Apocalypse from X-men and that was a huge project for me but I'm really glad it's done! Will upload more pictures to DA soon but I have a couple on my page if you want to check them out - facebook.com/kerukeruuu

I am also almost finished with my Genderbend Maleficent costume that's based on :iconsakimichan: 's amazing artwork! And I'm working on a Genderbend Mileena from Mortal Kombat!

Allsooo I am gonna start on a Morrigan costume soon (Darkstalkers) so I'm excited! Most of my updates will probably be on my Facebook page or Instagram (keltoncos) so check those pages !
